For walkers: the Greensand Way is adjacent to the garden, and there are pubs a-plenty en route... especially in the 'haunted' village of Pluckley where the 'Darling Buds of May' was filmed.
Places of local interest: 'Arden' is close to the market towns of Tenterden, Cranbrook, Tunbridge Wells and Ashford. There are also several National Trust properties to be found within easy reach of 'Arden', including Sissinghurst Castle: the world-renowned garden that embraces the magnificent White Garden, best seen in June, that was created by Harold Nicolson and Vita Sackville-West.
